Obituary for James Dalianis

James Dalianis of Nutley, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Stephen and Evdoxia (Tzouros) Dalianis. James lived in Chicago, Illinois and Newark before coming to Nutley 60 years ago and was an educator with the Township of Irvington Board of Education before retiring. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and earned Masters Degrees from Kean University and American University in Washington, DC. Mr. Dalianis was also a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion Post in Union, NJ and was a member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine (Argos) Dalianis, his children, Dia Dalianis and Stephanie Antell and her husband, Brennian and his grandchildren, Demetri, Lainee and Teo. He was also the dear brother of Anne Zaros and the late Aphrodite Kolios.

Reposing for Mr. Dalianis will be on Wednesday, February 10 from 5-8 pm at Ss. Nicholas, Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 80 Laurel Ave. in Roseland.

The Funeral Service will be held at the church on Thursday at 10 am followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
