Obituary for Lydia Gloria Micciche (Uchin)

Lydia Gloria Micciche’, 72, of Cedar Grove, NJ passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 10, 2021. Born in Austria, she was the daughter of the late Kusma and Angelina (Hronoko) Uchin. Mrs. Micciche’ immigrated to the USA at the age of 3 and settled in Cedar Grove 35 years ago. Lydia was a licensed beautician and owner of the hairdressing salon at Canterbury Care Center in Cedar Grove. She was a devoted wife and mother of 5 children and 7 grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Lydia’s Christian roots began at Nutley Assembly of God in the early 1970s and served as a training instructor for aspiring Sunday School teachers. She enjoyed acting and played the role of Mary at a Christmas play at Calvary Temple; enjoyed leading Bible Study groups in the local community and shared dear friendships with extended family and friends. Lydia had a very deep love of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and is present with Him today.
Lydia is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years Carmen Micciche’, and her children Joseph Micciche’, Maria his wife, Regina Micciche’, Sherri Tavares, Philip Micciche’, Carmine Micciche’ and was predeceased by her daughter, Nina Marie Micciche’. She was the dear sister of Maria, KC, Jerry, Anthony and Angela Uchin; She leaves her loving grandchildren, Briana, Sabrina, Mateo, Brandon, JoeJoe, Gianna, and Matthew.

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St, Nutley, NJ on Sunday, February 14th from 2-5 pm. Cremation will be private.
