Regina S. Loughlin, 97
Regina S. (Bowes) Loughlin of Nutley, died on Thursday February
2, 2012 at her home. Born in Passaic, she lived in
Clifton before coming to Nutley 50 years ago. Mrs. Loughlin was employed with the clerical staff at
Hoffmann LaRoche, Nutley before retiring and was a
member and past board member of the Roche Retirees Club.
Regina loved to dance. She was a former member of the
Columbiettes of St. Andrew’s Church, Clifton and was
active with various seniors groups. Predeceased by her
beloved husband, Edward Loughlin, she is survived by her
children, Thomas Loughlin and his wife, Loretta, Regina
Killian and her husband, Richard and David Loughlin and
his wife, Paula. She also leaves 5 grandchildren and 3
great grandchildren.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, Nutley
on Tuesday at 8:30 am.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at
St. Mary’s Church,
Nutley at 9:30 am.
Burial will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday
from 5-8 pm.

Francesco A. “Foots” Luongo, Jr., 64

Francesco A. “Foots” Luongo, Jr., of Montclair, passed
away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his home. Born in
Newark, he lived in Bloomfield for many years before
moving to Montclair 6 years ago. Mr. Luongo retired as
the Shop Steward for the Laborers Local Union 1153,
Bloomfield, where he worked as a carpenter & tile
setter. He was an Army Veteran of Vietnam.
Surviving are his sister, Rose Ann Estep; his brother,
Donald J. Luongo; four nephews, Jeffrey, Richard,
Douglas & D.J.; a niece, Kara and he was the great-uncle
of Ava & Gavin.
The funeral will be Thursday, from the S.W. Brown & Son
Funeral Home
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of
Padua Church, Belleville.
The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery,
Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on
Wednesday from 5-9 p.m.

Irma V. Schumacher, 87

Irma V. (Sokolay) Schumacher of Nutley, died on Thursday February
2, 2012 at the Masonic Home in Burlington. Born
and raised in East Newark, she moved to Nutley in 1951.
Mrs. Schumacher was a dietician at New Jersey Bell in
Newark for 22 years before retiring in 1986. She
was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the
Nutley Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the Nutley Fire
Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased
by her beloved husband Robert Schumacher and 6
siblings and is survived by her son, Robert Schumacher.
All services will be private.
