Obituary for Adele Aguanno (Baldante)

Adele Aguanno, 72, of Ledgewood and formerly of East Hanover, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Born in Irvington, Adele was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Pezzillo) Baldante. She lived in West Orange, East Hanover, & Long Valley for many years before moving to Ledgewood in 2001.

Mrs. Aguanno worked in the personnel department and later as a supervisor with The Howard Savings Bank at both Newark & Livingston locations before her departure. A top-notch athlete, Adele was a stand-out softball player and avid bowler with the Howard Bank softball and bowling leagues. She was an outstanding cook and, in her youth, loved taking family vacations to Lavalette and later to Long Beach Island. Adele is most fondly remembered for her fortitude, “spunk,” and unrivaled sense of humor, always managing to find the silver lining amongst the clouds. As a mother, she broke the mold, and as a wife, she was irreplaceable.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Michael Aguanno and her devoted daughter, Dana Aguanno. Adele was the dear sister of John Baldante, Beverly DiMichele and the late Marie Federico and Virginia Polito.

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday May 25, 2022 from 5-7 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly requested to gather at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave. East Hanover on Thursday May 26where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
