Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather
Albert R. Caffrey, 78, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018. Born in Newark, the son of Albert A. and Margaret T. (Kelleher) Caffrey, he lived most of his life in Belleville prior to moving to Cedar Grover 3 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Albert worked as a controller with Cummings & Smith, Inc. in Montclair.
He earned a Bachelor of Science from Bloomfield College, was an avid tennis player and a former Usher at Holy Family Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine (Del Guercio) Caffrey; his daughter, Sandi Stout and her husband, George and his granddaughter, Madison Stout. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Joseph.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter (www.alz.org/nj) would be appreciated.
