Loving Husband, Father, Brother, & Grandfather
Albert “Bucky” Cairo, 88 of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Born in Newark, he lived in Belleville before moving to Manchester 16 years ago. Albert was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, a union electrician in Local 52/164, a past president and member of the Belleville Jaycee’s, the Belleville Kiwanis, and founder of the Belleville Barbell Club. He was also the trainer for the Renaissance Athletic Club in Manchester.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred (Ruggiero) Cairo; his children, Thomas Cairo and his wife Alba, Bonnie D’Onofrio and her husband Ken, and Laura Volpe and her husband Rudy; sister, Dolores Nicolette Rinaldi; and 9 grandchildren, Skye Sauchelli and her husband Caleb, Christian Cairo, Jessica D’Onofrio, Jaime D’Onofrio, Erica D’Onofrio, Alyssa D’Onofrio, Nicholas Volpe, and Joseph Volpe. Along with his mother, Lucy Cairo, Albert was predeceased by his grandson, Ian Cairo.
The funeral will be Monday, September 21st at 8:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30am.
The interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, September 20th from 2-5pm.
