Obituary for Alexander A. Crivellone

Proud World War II Veteran

Alexander A. Crivellone, 100, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Born in Newark, the son of Antonio and Maria (Ruberto) Crivellone, he lived in Belleville prior to moving to Nutley 50 years ago.

He was retired from ASM in Fairfield, NJ, as a quality control manager and previously worked for Rowe International in Parsippany, NJ, for 41 years.

A proud Army Veteran of World War II, he served in Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland and earned a Purple Heart for wounds received in action during the European Theater of Operations.

He was a prior member of the choir, past president of the Holy Name Society and a former Lector at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley, NJ.

The beloved husband of the late Helen (Barsukiewicz) Crivellone and father of the late Barbara D. Hartman, he is survived by his son-in-law, George T. Hartman; 3 grandchildren, Deborah Regan and her husband, Robert, Christian Hartman and his wife Joanna and Gregory Hartman and his fiancé, Kelly Bateman; 5 great-grandchildren, Robbie, Lisa, Sarah and Alex Regan and Caden Hartman. He is also survived by his sister, Mildred Armeno, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several sisters and brothers.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley at 10 a.m.

The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
