Obituary for Alfred "Al" A. Hofker

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother

Alfred “Al” A. Hofker ("PopPops") 82, of Nutley passed away peacefully on December 1st 2020. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Alfred and Josephine (Mierzejeski) Hofker. Al lived in Belleville, prior to moving to Nutley nearly 60 years ago with his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia R. (Randall) Hofker. Al was a devoted husband, father and an inspiration to many. Al retired as a production manager with Hammer Press in Parsippany after a fulfilling career. Post retirement, Al enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren, maintaining his 63' Corvette, playing golf, billiards and also painting with watercolors. He is survived by his wife, Patricia R. (Randall) Hofker, son Christopher S. Hofker Sr. and his wife Doreen, his daughter Kimberly Granata and Cosimo, his sister Claire Conner and his grandchildren Jake, Christopher, Tyler, Austin and Rebecca.

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley on Friday, December 4th 2020 for a walk through visitation from 4-7pm.

A private interment will take place on Saturday December 5th 2020 at Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Clifton.
