He was an active parish member of Holy Family Parish in Nutley, serving for many years as a member of the school board, president of the Home School Association, and as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, and helping to spearhead major fundraising efforts such as the monthly paper drive and the annual Italian Festival. He was a talented artist, producing many hand-made signs and banners over the years for church and school functions.
