Annie, as she was affectionately known by all, was born in Nutley, NJ on May 5, 1930 and resided in Glen Ridge for 50 years. She enjoyed a long and happy life surrounded by family and friends, and will be lovingly remembered for her compassion and humor. Annie was an optimist who exhibited unconditional love and was the life of any party and cherished nothing more than spending time with her family, whether it was a visit around her kitchen table, a holiday gathering, or a family event. The ultimate hostess, Annie graciously opened her home to everyone with warmth and humor. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald "Scotty" James Gilchrist and daughter of the late Margaret (Costello) and Vincenzo James Rusignuolo. She was the devoted mother of Donald J. Gilchrist,
Jr. and his wife, Linda; Margaret Ann Gilchrist; Kathleen M. Gilchrist, and Raymond S. Gilchrist and spouse, Novert Payba; and the cherished grandmother to Steven Gilchrist, Michele Ippolito (Phillip), and Krista Gilchrist and two great-grandchildren, Sofia and August Ippolito, as well as a dear aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her dear siblings, Frank Rusignuolo, Sr., Joseph Rusignuolo, Mary Hunter, Phyllis Buhl, Eleanor Albanese and Carmela Melograno. Annie was the former owner of White Oaks Liquor Shoppe, Scotty-Ann Liquors and the Belleville Wine Shop and was a member of the St. Thomas September Club and Glen Ridge Golden Circle.

Annie's family would like to thank all of the nurses, personal assistants and companions.
They will always be lovingly remembered.
