Anne Rose Wengrin, 94, of Belleville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, surrounded by family. Born in Fell Township, PA, Anne was the daughter of the late Michael and Kathryn (Danko) Gorel. She retired as a teller for Provident Bank in Belleville, NJ. Anne was an active parishioner at St. Peter’s Church, and former Vice President of their Rosary Society. She also volunteered her time at Clara Maass Medical Center for over 20 years. The beloved wife of the late John Wengrin, Anne is survived by her children Michael Wengrin and his wife Valerie, Anne Marie Charles and her husband Anthony, and Joseph Wengrin and his wife Michele, 11 grandchildren Anna Rose Wyker, Sarah Charles, Mark Charles, Leah Charles, Eric Charles, Fran Hawisztczak, Michael Wengrin, John King, Steven King, Ambur Wengrin and Nicholas Wengrin , and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son John Jr., her daughter Catherine King and her husband Alfred, her brothers Michael, John, Andrew, and Joseph Wengrin, and sisters Mary Russell, Kathryn Falong, Rose Lutchko, and Veronica Martines.

The funeral will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 9am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am at St. Peter’s Church, Belleville.

The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, December 9th from 3pm – 7pm.
