“Music was always important in his life”

Anthony S. Keller, 61 of Nutley, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his home. Born in South Amboy, he was the son of Anthony F. and the late Lois (Wilson) Keller, and lived in Perth Amboy and Sayreville prior to moving to Nutley 15 years ago. He most recently was employed at Fairway Market in the maintenance department in Woodland Park, and also worked for various ShopRite Supermarkets throughout the area as well as Blonder Tongue Labs and Schott Leather Co.

Music was his life…no matter what Anthony was involved in, there would always be music playing. He was a roadie in his younger years for several bands and even opened with The Ramones when they performed at Rutgers University. Aside from being an absolute Halloween fanatic, he was also an avid fisherman and crabber, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Parlin, NJ.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne (Stuckas) Keller; his children, Julianna R. and Ian A. Keller; his sisters, Sharon Keller and Alice Sarosky; his nephew, Maxwell Sarosky; his brothers-in-law, Robert Stuckas and Michael Sarosky; and several of his dear aunts and numerous loving cousins.

The funeral will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 10am.

The Funeral Mass will Be celebrated at St. Valentine’s Church in Bloomfield at 11am.

The cremation services will be held privately.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Valentine’s Church Maintenance Fund, 125 North Spring Street, Bloomfield NJ 07003 would be preferred.
