Obituary for Anthony Bocchino

Loving Husband, Father, and Grandpa

Anthony “Butch” Bocchino, 81, lifelong resident of Belleville, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. Born in Newark, Anthony was the son of the late Giovanni and Mary (Gammaro) Bocchino. He retired as a foreman from Progressive Manufacturing Co. in Newark and was currently employed at the Parkway House in Glen Ridge.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Barbara (Giordano) Bocchino; his son John G. Bocchino (Robyn Ferrante), daughters Dina Bocchino (Mike Ifversen), Tonia Mullany, and Dara Moscaritola (John), his brother John Bocchino (Suzanne), Sister-in-law Susan DiNapoli and his grandchildren, who were his world, Matthew, Marc, and Joseph Mullany, Jake and DaniLyn Ifversen, and John and Grayson Moscaritola. He was predeceased by his sister Mickie Bocchino , sister-in-law Margie Lennon, and son-in-law Joseph Mullany. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anthony was loved by so many and was always there to lend a helping hand and could fix anything and everything. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and sitting around a campfire. You can always find him in his backyard taking care of his amazing garden.

His family was everything to him and he would never miss an event involving his children or grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley on Thursday, February 4th at 12:30pm.

The interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery in Union.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 3rd from 4-7pm.
