Obituary for Anthony Bordino

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great-Grandfather

Anthony Bordino, of Wallington, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at his home. Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, He lived in Italy, Newark and Belleville prior to moving to Wallington42 years ago.
Anthony was a World War II Veteran of the Italian Navy.
An accomplished baker in his own rite, he was the owner of Novelty Bakery in Belleville. At one point, he owned 7 bakeries in the area. He mostly supplied major airlines but also sold to the public.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Filomena (Gioino) Bordino; his daughter, Maryann Varricchio and her husband, Ben; 2 sisters, Elisabetta Ferrari and Giuseppina Fico; a brother, Salvatore; 5 grandchildren, Stefanie and her husband, Stephen, Alessandra and her husband, Anthony, Tiziana and her husband, Albert, Gabriella and Anthony and 2 great-grandchildren, Sofia and Matteo.


The funeral will be Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.

The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be preferred.
