Anthony Complitano
December 23, 1939 - January 6, 2021
Anthony Complitano, 81, born and raised in the Silver Lake section of Belleville, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Amelia (D’Ambola) Complitano. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Denise (Del Guercio), his three children, Anthony and Nicholas Complitano and Michele Iannelli and her husband, Mario and his loving grandchildren, Vada and Nicholas Complitano and Jessica, Mario and Danielle Iannelli. He is also the dear brother of Vincent and Arthur Complitano, Rosemarie Sorice and Concelia Gerns and the late Dominick, Nove and Albert Complitano and the late Jean Bowden.
Before retiring in 2002, he was a driver for A. Veniero & Sons Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, a Scout Master for Troop 305 at School #5 in Belleville and a member of the American Legion Post 70 in Nutley.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Friday January 8 from 5-8 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by committal at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
