Obituary for Anthony J. Intile
Retired Police Officer, Army veteran
Anthony J. Intile, 89 of Clifton, passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at his home. Born in Glen Ridge, he was the son of the late Luigi and Mary (LaBruzza) Intile. Anthony lived in Nutley before coming to Clifton 19 years ago. He was a police officer with the Nutley Police Department before retiring, was a member of Nutley PBA #33 and a U.S. Army veteran. After retiring from law enforcement he was employed as a security guard at the Nutley Shop Rite.
Anthony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa Ann (Ritacco) Intile and is survived by his devoted daughters, Donna Rose and her husband, Joseph, Darlene Wong and her husband, Lou, Toni Ann Farro and her husband, Gerry and his grandchildren Josee and Matthew Rose and Gianna and Guilianna Farro. He also leaves his sister, Carole McCallen.
Relatives and friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday January 4 from 4-7 pm. Service and entombment at Glendale Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Inc. would be appreciated.
