Obituary for Anthony J. Magnatta

Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather

Anthony J. Magnatta “Mag”, age 89 of Nutley, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Alfonsina (Rosamilia) and Philip Magnatta. Anthony retired as a salesman for Crucible in Fairfield.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean War.
The beloved husband of the late Elaine (Buono) Magnatta, Anthony is survived by his loving children, Janet Satos and her husband Dean, Lorraine Rubinstein and her husband Ken, Robert Magnatta, James Magnatta and his wife Lisa, and Maria Turriziani and her companion, Ken Loesser. Anthony is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren, Kimberly, Stephanie, Kristen, Anthony, Michael and Joseph; his brother, John Magnatta; and his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Grayson, Evelyn, and Mia Elaine; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He was also predeceased by his grandson, Michael Rubinstein; his sister, Sarah De Cagna and his brother, Nicholas Magnatta.

The funeral will be 9:30am Thursday from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral mass will be 10:30am at Holy Family Church in Nutley.

The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday 4-8pm.
