Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather
Armando Califano, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home. Born in Pagani, Campania, Italy, the son of the late Antonio & Marianina (Farina) Califano, he lived in New York prior to moving to Lyndhurst 44 years ago. Before his retirement, he works as a diesel mechanic for United Parcel Service in New York.
The beloved husband of the late Maria (Moretto) Califano, he is survived by his children, Anna Gianatiempo & her husband, Carmine Gianatiempo, MD, Anthony Califano, MD & his wife, Renee and Francesco Califano, MD & his wife, Tiziana Califano MD; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Raffaella & Amalia & two brothers, Salvatore & Ludovico.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Holy Family Church Restoration Fund, 28 Brookline Ave. Nutley, NJ 07110 would be preferred.
