Assunta Perri, 83 of Belleville passed away on October 9, 2019. Born in Italy, the daughter of Gennaro and Michelina (Bruno) De Giacomo, she lived in Italy prior to moving to Belleville 47 years ago.
Prior to her retirement, Assunta worked for Celentano Brothers in Verona.
The beloved wife of the late Emilio Perri, she is survived by her children, Josephine Perri, Rose Thompson and Natale and Frank Perri, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a sister in Italy. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by 6 sisters and brothers.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-9 p.m.
