Barbara Harrity, 80

Barbara Harrity, of Nutley, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born Glen Ridge, the daughter of the late Hugh and Loretta (Hendrickson) Henley, she lived in Bloomfield prior to moving to Nutley 28 years ago.
Barbara retired from Foodtown in Bloomfield and was a CCD teacher at Sty. Mary’s Church in Nutley and volunteered as playground supervisor for Washington School in Nutley.
The wife of the late John Harrity, she is survived by her children, Robert, Michael, John, Maryjean and Loretta Harrity; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time.

The cremation services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund, 17 Monsignor Owens Pl. in Nutley would be preferred.
