Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Bernard J. McGlone, 90, of Nutley, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bernard was the son of the late Henry and Anna (McKenna) McGlone. He was a proud US Army veteran of the Korean War. He had a long career with Fuller Brush and retired as a salesman for Kiefer Brushes Inc. in Franklin, NJ. Bernard is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary (Ferrara) McGlone, his sons Kenneth McGlone and his wife Luanne and Thomas McGlone, daughter-in-law, AnnMarie, and 5 grandchildren Meaghan McGlone, Alexander McGlone, Kenneth McGlone, Ryan McGlone, and Amanda McGlone along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Bernard enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his favorite sports teams such the Eagles and the Phillies. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 2 - 5 pm.
The funeral will be on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 8:30 am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Ave, Nutley.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove St, Montclair.
