Carmela De Leone, 93 of Newark passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Born in Italy, the daughter of Giovanni and Amalia (Lepore) Zoino, she lived in Italy prior to moving to Newark in 1947. She retired from Peerless Tube in Bloomfield.
The beloved wife of the late Michael De Leone, she is survived by her sister, Assunta Lepore and her brothers, Umberto, Mario and Ulderico Zoino and many loving nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Antonio, Hugo and Alessandro Zoino.
The funeral will be Friday, December 6, 2019 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated a St. Francis Xavier Church in Newark at 10:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
