Loving Mother, Sister, and Grandmother
Carmelina Cabanillas nee Sierchio 78 of Belleville, NJ, passed away Wednesday April29, 2020. She is predeceased by parents Carmine Sierchio and Teodolinda Sierchio. Born in Calabritto frazione di Quaglietta,Italy. Carmelina migrated to the United States with her family in 1958. She settled in Newark and West Orange prior to moving to Belleville 49 years ago. She worked as a seamstress for years and took great pride in her work. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Cabanillas, Lisa Appice, Carla Ramos and her husband Antonio, her loving grandchildren Joseph, Justin, Christian and Ava, her dear sisters Vanda (Maria) Giuffrida and her partner Dominic, Mary Brownstein and her husband Mitchell, Patty Nasello, and her brother Pasquale Sierchio. She is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
The funeral service and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington will be held
privately.
