Carmella M. Tweedy, 76 of Toms River, passed away on Thursday November 14, 2019. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Nazarine and Louise (Zarro) Vessichelli. Mrs. Tweedy lived in Bloomfield and Miami, Florida before coming to Toms River in 1995 and was employed with Tung Sol Inc. in Bloomfield before retiring. Carmella was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Tweedy. She is survived her brother, Luciano Vessichelli; her sisters, Marie Holz and her husband, Philip, Gail Goi and her husband, James and Cathie Guarino, 16 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews and her “fur baby”, Angel. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Samuel and Nazarine Vessichelli, Jr. and a sister, Diane Dunn.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday November 20 at 9:45 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark at 11 am

The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visiting will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
