Obituary for Catherine A. Bove (Carfagno)
Catherine Carfagno Bove, 93, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. Born in Belleville, Catherine was the daughter of the late Mary (Cerza) and Michael Carfagno. She retired as a hairdresser for Kitty’s Beauty Salon in Bloomfield, working there for 46 years.
The beloved wife of the late Vincent L. Bove. Cherished sister of the late Dorothy Carfagno, late Connie Loma, and late brother Mario Carfagno. Beloved aunt to Cathy Carfagno, the late Ronnie Loma, late Ricky Loma and his wife Georgette, Gary Loma and his wife Eileen. Great aunt of Gary Loma Jr., Gabrielle Loma, and Gracie Loma. Dear friend of Amelia Pacilli Griffiths, and to a very special person, the late George Maglio.
The visitation will be on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, NJ.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Church 63 Franklin Street, Belleville, NJ 07109 at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial masses at Saint Valentine's Church, 125 N. Spring Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 would be preferred.
