Clara (Magalhaes) Martins, 78 of Newark, passed away on Tuesday October 25, 2016. Born in Portugal, she was one of 10 siblings. Mrs. Martins was a talented seamstress and owner of Dalfam Fashions in Newark before retiring and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandma who will be remembered for her excellent cooking, loving care and un-wavering spirit. Predeceased by her husband, Jaime Martins, she leaves her children, Daniel M. Teixeira, Frank Teixeira, Arlindo Teixeira & his wife, Elizabeth, Anthony Teixeira & his wife, Lisette and Laurie Teixeira & her husband, Robert. She also leaves, her grandchildren, Danny, Ashley, Caitlin, Jennifer, Thomas, Krystin, Cynthia Nicole, Samantha Lee, Chloe Amber, Anabella, Matthew, Damien and Alexi and her great grandchildren, Isabella Rose, Cristiano, Adrian, Joseph, Lyla, Anthony, Julian, Hailee and Sadie.
Relatives and friends will be received the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley Tuesday November 1 from 5-9 pm.
The funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday November 2 at 11:45 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephens Church, Kearny, (Kearny Ave between Washington & Laurel) at 1 pm.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
