Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother
Cristobalina Ruiz, 99 of Stoney Point, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Luis Alvarez and Odulia Rodriguez, she lived in Puerto Rico before moving to Newark, NJ after she was married. She then lived in Bloomfield prior to moving to North Carolina 4 ½ years ago.
She was an active member of Sinai Church in Newark where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Missionary. She was also a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Newark.
Cristobalina is survived by her loving children, Aida Rivera and her husband, Carlos, Luz Marchena, Elmo Ruiz, Norma Ruiz and Luis D. Ruiz and his wife, Lessby; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by 9 sisters and brothers.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 11 a.m.
The interment will immediately follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
