Obituary for Daisy Magno Doronila
On Sunday, April 5, 2020, Daisy Doronila, loving mother and devoted nurse, passed away at the age of 60.
Daisy was born on October 22, 1959 in Manila, Philippines to Sabino Doronila, a veteran of the Philippine Army, and Celerina Magno, a full-time mother. She worked as a nurse in Abu Dhabi for 5 years, before moving to America where she served for over 20 years at the Hudson County Correctional Center. She was a single mother to her beautiful daughter Denise, and resided in Nutley, NJ. Where she was a long time parishioner at Holy Family Church and member of the Filipino Apostolate group.
Daisy had a passion for nursing. The many sacrifices, the sleepless nights, and countless overtime are true testaments of her strength, courage, and perseverance. Not only was she a strong woman, but she was a compassionate and caring human being. And she will always be remembered for her pure joy and laughter.
Daisy was preceded in death by her father Sabino, and her mother, Celerina. She is survived by her daughter Denise, her four sisters, Cynthia, Edith, Ruth, and Meriam, her uncle Felipe, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral Services for Daisy will be private at S.W Brown and Son Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be announced at a later date.
