Retired US Postal Worker
David Iglesias, 70, of Nutley passed away on March 14, 2022. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Bayonne prior to moving to Nutley 21 ½ years ago. He retired from the US Postal Service in Jersey City after a 40 year career. David was the son of John and Ruth (Connelly) Iglesias. David coached little league baseball for many years in Secaucus, and was an avid softball player in various leagues while living in Bayonne. David leaves behind his loving wife Kathleen (O’Neill) Iglesias, his sister-in-law, Mrs. Doreen Del Piano and her husband Ralph. His brother-in-law Dennis O’Neill and his wife Barbara. His nephews Christian Del Piano and Sean O’Neill. His nieces Angel Bogardus and Christe Daddario. David also leaves behind a goddaughter, and great niece, Leah Del Piano as well as great nieces and nephews Brandon Del Piano, Taylor Brzozowski, Jared and Kayla Luongo.
The funeral will be Friday, at 9:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:30am.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, March 17, from 4-7pm
