Obituary for David M. Pierro

David M. Pierro, 79, of Morris Plains, passed away on March 28, 2022. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Nutley prior to moving to Morris Plains, in 1996. David was the son of the late Michael Joseph and Toby (Checkman) Pierro. David was a former Parsippany Police Officer and was the owner of Blimpie’s Bayonne, last of many Blimpie establishments that he proudly owned throughout his life, he was a veteran of the US army serving in Korea as an M.P. David was predeceased by his wife Cecelia (O’Neill) Pierro, and his grandson Joseph. He is survived by his dear friend Florence Hogan, sons Michael, and his fiancée Victoria Carlucci, David, and his wife Francesca, Gregory, and his wife Ginger, grandchildren Cristopher, Gia, Damien, and Nicholas.

He was a selfless man, providing for many, and always putting himself last. Highly passionate in his convictions and opinions, he held nothing back. From politics to life in the cosmos, to other controversial topics, he let you know where he stood - AND ALWAYS WITH EMPHASIS! He will be sorely missed.

Visitors will be received on Friday, April 1, from 4-8pm from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:30pm.

Cremation will be private.
