David Simpson, 71, of Whiting and formally of Nutley, passed away on Saturday October 1, 2022. Born in East Orange, he was the son of the late William A and Jean L (Schellhardt) Simpson. Before retiring, most of David's professional life was dedicated to Bell Ford in Colonia where he was the parts manager. David was an avid Corvette enthusiast. His prize possession was his 1967 Stingray Corvette that he drove all over the country to participate in shows, rallies, and caravans. David is a lifelong member of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he was recently honored.
David is survived by his beloved wife Maryann, his sister Sharon Castagna and brother Howard Simpson and his nephews, William Waltz and Scott Simpson.
A memorial service will be held at Vincent United Methodist Church in Nutley, on Saturday, October 8th at 1:00pm.
