…. Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend ….
One In A Million
David W. Staub, Sr., 65, of Nutley passed into Eternal Life on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. David was raised in Bloomfield, NJ prior to moving to Nutley, NJ, where he resided and raised his family for the past 42 years retiring from the Nutley Board of Education as a Grounds Crew member in 2010. He was one of nine children to the late Robert and Dolores Staub.
He is the loving husband to Karen (Juliano) Staub, the dependable and ever loving father to David, Jr., Luciann, Ryan and his fiancée Kirsten DeChavez, the reliable brother to Joseph Staub, Sr., Mary Hoover, Therese Sheldon and her husband Gary, John Staub and his wife Lisa, the caring brother-in-law to Joyce (Juliano) Pais and her husband Thomas, and John Caruso, and the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Staub, Leo Staub, and Richard Staub, and his sister Peggy Caruso. He valued his longtime friends and coworkers whom he considered to be part of his family.
David was someone who will always be known for his kindness, his effortless manner, and as someone who would be there to lend a helping hand. You could call him any time of the day and he would drop what he was doing to come help. Another one of his incredibly special traits that he shared with the world was his infectious way of making everyone smile and laugh. He could meet a total stranger and by the end of that conversation it was like you knew him forever, and, of course, that person would leave laughing and smiling.
With love and faith, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Monsignor Owens Place, Nutley, NJ at 9:00 am.
At the family’s request, there will be no visitation prior to the mass as cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
