Diane M. Balassone, 69 of Nutley, passed away on Thursday October 4, 2018. Born in Hackensack, she had lived in Lyndhurst before moving to Nutley 50 years ago. Mrs. Balassone was an insurance underwriter . Diane was predeceased by her father, Dominick Mazzatelli, her step-father, Paul C. Holland, and her brothers, John and Richard Mazzatelli, Sr. She is survived by her devoted son, Marc A. Balassone and her mother, Marion Woodruff Holland. Diane was the also the dear aunt of Dana Sibilia, Richard, Jr., Randi and John Mazzatelli, Jr. and great aunt of Demitria Pillatos, Adrianna Vitorino, Ethan and Sharlize Lozada and Mikey and Joey Mazzatelli.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday October 10 at 10:30 am followed by interment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
