Obituary for Domenic Anthony Vinci
Domenic A. Vinci, 90, of Newark, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in San Gregorio d'Ippona Calabria, Domenic was the son of the late Nicola and Concetta (Gasparro) Vinci. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He retired as a foreman/supervisor for Jersey Plastic Molders, Irvington. The beloved husband of the late Pierina Vinci, Domenic is survived by his children Nicholas Vinci and his wife Theresa, Anthony Vinci and his wife Barbara, and Anna Marie Marzocca and her husband Domenic, eight grandchildren Lisa Vinci Bruno, Nicholas A. Vinci, Joseph Vinci, Anthony Vinci, Jr., Salvatore Vinci, Julia Marzocca, Alessandro Marzocca, and Adriana Marzocca, and four great-grandchildren Natalia Vinci, Mason Vinci, Johnny Bruno, and Thomas Vinci.
Domenic and his wife Pierina created beautiful traditions surrounding the curation of homemade foods and wine which have been passed on to the next generations of the family. They both lived to support and care for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren always putting themselves 2nd to the needs of others.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 11am – 1pm.
The Funeral service will be conducted at 1pm.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Domenic’s name can be made to Wounded Warriors Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or DAV (Disabled American Veterans) (www.dav.org).
