Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great-Grandfather

Domenick Alessio, 81 of Belleville passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home. Born in Calabria, Italy, the son of Pietro and Rosa (DeGiacomo) Alessio, he lived in Italy prior to moving to Belleville over 50 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, Domenick worked as a mechanic with Hoffmann La Roche in Nutley.
He was a member of the Roche Retirees and the Knights of Columbus Council #1178 in Bloomfield.

The beloved husband of the late Eileen D. (Tighe) Alessio, he is survived by his daughters, Ellen Slicklen and her husband, Charles, Catherine Vaughan and her husband, Thomas, Ann Marie Jetton and her husband, Terry, Jeanne Dawson and her husband, Daniel, Victoria Ann Huddleston and Lori Mera and her husband, Will; his sister, Carmela Alessio; his grandchildren, Charles "CJ" and wife, Vivien, Sara May and fiancée, Alexander , Grace, Jack, Keriann, Bryan, William, Michael, Megan, Lauren, James, Anna and Claire; and his great-grandchildren, Charles "Charlie", Tarek and Isabella.
Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Darren Huddleston.

The funeral will be Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 8:30 a.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.

The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and Monday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, (https://www.cancer.org/) would be preferred.
