Loving Father, Brother, Grandfather and Great Grandfather
Domenick Scutti, Jr. of Nutley passed away on April 26, 2022. Born in Belleville, he lived in Silver Lake prior to moving to Nutley 52 years ago. Domenick was the son of the late Domenick and Lucia (Bruno) Scutti. Domenick retired as a Welder, with The Garden State Parkway, he was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War, a member of the Old Guard of Nutley, he was formerly active with the Nutley National Little League, a former member of the Nutley Elks Lodge #1290. Domenick was very proud of his garden and winning the Nutley Tomato Contest several times. He was predeceased by his loving wife Catherine (Melillo), his brothers Joseph and Nicholas Scutti, and his sister Michelina Richie. He leaves behind his children Lucille Bongiovanni, and her husband Peter, Jr., Donnie Scutti, and his wife Catherine, and Paul, and his wife Susan, sisters Ann Marie Graffeo, Madeline Scutti and Terri Spera, his grandchildren Peter Bongiovanni III, and his wife Katherine, Nicholas Bongiovanni, DJ Scutti, and his wife Victoria, Samantha Genova, and her husband Kyle, Mia Scutti, Paul Anthony Scutti, Jr., and his great grandsons Anthony and Luca Bongiovanni.
Visitation will be Friday, April 29, from 9-11am. at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am.
The interment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made the Alzheimer’s New Jersey (www.alznj.og) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
