Obituary for Donna Kay Onjian

Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Donna Kay Onjian, 76 of Belleville passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019. Born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania to the late Herbert and Bertha Mae (Walker) Morrison, she moved to Belleville when she was 5 years old. As a young adult she lived, and met her husband in Los Angeles, California. They married in Las Vegas and settled back in Belleville to start a family in 1972. Donna was a graduate of Belleville High School and The East Orange School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement, Donna was a registered nurse at Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove. Donna was a member of the Women’s Club of Belleville, and a former member of Red Hat Society. She was both a Deacon and Elder at Fewsmith Memorial Presbyterian Church, and Montgomery Presbyterian Church where her family was active for many years.

The beloved wife for 49 years of Chuck Lee Onjian, she is survived by her loving son Christopher Lee Onjian and his wife Patricia, her brother Herbert Lee Morrison, II, her sister Marjorie Lynn Dorlinger and her beloved grandchild Callianna Mae who was her “Grammie’s Girl”.

The funeral will be on Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at Fewsmith Memorial Presbyterian Church in Belleville.

The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m
