Obituary for Doris D Young (Brasile)

Loving and Devoted Mother, Grandmother & Caretaker

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris D Young announces her passing after an almost two year battle with breast cancer on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at the age of 75. She passed away at her home in Belleville NJ surrounded by her family. Doris is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ronald and her loving children Tara, Dana, Ronnie, Lisa and her husband Link. Doris is predeceased by her dear grandson who she devoted her life to taking care of for 16 years, Anthony G. Young.
She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Edith Brajer, Sarah Ann Brasile and Rebecca Nemeth and her brother, Morris Brasile. Along with her parents and her her cherished grandson Doris was predeceased by 7 sisters and brothers.

Doris was a wonderful mother to her children and grandmother to her grandson. Doris always without even thinking about it put the needs of others first. She was the best mother and grandmother that anyone could ever ask for.
Doris grew up in Lyndhurst, NJ with her two brothers and nine sisters and her mother and father. She was always very family orientated and spent much of her time with her protecting her sisters, going to bingo, and family dinners on Sunday.
Doris loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved spending time down the shore in the summer with her children and family. She loved going to Atlantic City and Mount Airy. She loved holiday dinners with her family and doing everything to make them happy. Doris was loved by everyone. She will be remembered in all our hearts forever.

The funeral will be Monday, June 10, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church in Belleville at 10 a.m.

Her interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 12-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be preferred.
