Obituary for Dorothy M. Francisco (Phillips)
Dorothy M. Francisco, 101 years old of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020. Born in Passaic, Dorothy grew up in Clifton before living in Nutley and then moving to Bloomfield 23 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Harold and Mary (Wilda) Phillips. A graduate of Fashion Academy in NYC, she retired as a supervisor for Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic of East Orange.
The beloved wife of the late Pasquale Francisco, Dorothy is survived by her children, Patricia Spencer, Thomas Francisco, Robert Francisco, Lorraine Hurlbut, and Phillip Francisco; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday, November 5th at 8:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 9:30am.
The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 4th from 5-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate would be appreciated.
