Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother
Dorothy C. Nazzaro, 95, passed away on Friday, February 01, 2019. A lifelong resident of Nutley, she was the daughter of Michael and Annunziata (Sposato) Sammarro.
Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was a seamstress. Her joy in life was being surrounded by her loving family. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her loved ones. She was an avid bingo player, loved visiting the casinos, and enjoyed playing cards. “Dottie” helped everyone she came in contact with and every single life was better because she was in it.
The beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Nazzaro, she is survived by her loving daughter, Dorothy Dispoto and her husband, Gabriel; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and Joseph Dispoto; her sister, Louisa Scarpa, her brother, Michael Sammarro and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Carminati, Clara Pagano, Catherine Aiello, Josephine Concadora, Roseline Sellari and her brother Joseph Sammarro.
The funeral will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 8:30a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30a.m.
The interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
