Obituary for Edda Milazzo (Pagnutti)

On December 14th at 11:45pm, Edda Milazzo, loving mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 93.

Born Edda Pierina Pagnutti in , Tarvisio, Province of Udine, Italy on July 19, 1929. Edda met her future husband, Matthew Milazzo, a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army, in 1944 during WWII.

Edda crossed the Atlantic in 1946 with many other war brides and arrived in America to become part of her new family. She was naturalized and became a proud American Citizen. Edda was a resident of Nutley, NJ for 41 years and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church before relocating with her husband Matthew in 1986 to North Fort Myers Florida.

Edda was a proud mother, grandmother, and aunt. She leaves behind a son Benjamin, a daughter Lois, three grandchildren, Leilani, Jennifer, and David, three great granddaughters, Meredith, Julianne, and Abigail, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Always quick with a smile and a helping hand, Edda will be missed by family and friends alike. We send her on her way with our love and gratitude to rejoin her loving father, mother, older sister, younger brother and her handsome soldier boy.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednsday, December 21, 2022 at 9:30am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 10:30 am followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
