Eileen F. Pogorzelski, 73 of Brookfield, CT and formerly of Nutley, passed away on February 19, 2020. She passed peacefully under the care of an amazing team at the Regional Hospice in Danbury CT after a short but brave battle with ALS. Born in Jersey City, raised in Lyndhurst, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Eleanor (Novak) Snadyk. Eileen lived in Nutley before coming to Connecticut 6 years ago and was an Executive Assistant at Maersk in Morristown before retiring.

A devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, Eileen is survived by her beloved husband, Walter Pogorzelski, Jr., her daughters, Sandy Pogorzelski and husband Rob Cobba, Sharon Boniello and husband, Paul and her grandchildren, Allison and Paul Boniello. She also leaves her dear sister, Geraldine Barrows and many loving family members and friends.

The funeral will be from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Thursday February 27 at 8:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 9:30 followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
