Obituary for Eleanor Asaro

Eleanor Asaro, 98, born January 7, 1922, of Parsippany. Cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Lena (Herterick) Del Cioppo. She lived in Nutley and West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Parsippany nearly eight years ago.

Married to the late Joseph Asaro for nearly 60 years, before his death in 2006. Eleanor enjoyed life, being with her family, travel, mostly cruising. She was an avid card player and a great bocce player. She was a member of the Nutley Elks Lodge Women's Auxiliary for many years. Best known for her fun loving and outgoing personality. She was loved by all!
She leaves behind her loving children, Joseph (Elaine), Linda Morella (John), Robert (Marie). Ten grandchildren, Nancy Asaro, Lori Dring (Paul), John Morella (Anna), Joseph Morella (Tony), Matthew Morella (Mark), Thomas Asaro (GinaMarie), Joelle Rodgers (Cody), Robert Asaro, Joy Spina (Sergio) and 13 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Thomas, her grandson Robert, two sisters and four brothers.
