Eleanore M. Caprio
1927 - 2022
Eleanore M. (Day) Caprio, 95, of Nutley, passed away on May 17, 2022. Born in Newark, she resided in Nutley since 1951. Eleanore was the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Vespa) Day. She was predeceased by her loving husband Angelo A. Caprio which she married on October 17, 1948, they where together for 53 years, until his passing on May 11, 2001. Eleanore leaves her loving children, her son Robert “Cap” Caprio, and his wife Diana, and her daughter Janet C. Caprio. She retired as a Supervisor with Nutley Water Department, having started as a clerk after 35 years. She was also a former member of the St. Mary’s Theater Guild.
Visiting will be from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, on Tuesday, May 24, from 4-8pm.
Funeral service and interment will be private as per Eleanore’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eleanore’s name to the Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement, 1841 Paynes Depot Road, Georgetown, KY, 40324 would be appreciated.
