Elis F. Estevez, 92 of North Haledon, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at his home. Born in Baracoa, Cuba, he was the son of the late Francisco and Ramona(Rodriguez) Estevez. Elis lived in Newark, NJ for many years and in Hawthorne before recently coming to North Haledon. Mr. Estevez was a carpenter and worked for Cooper Sportswear for many years before retiring.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Praxedes (Leyva) Estevez. He is survived by his daughter, Marietta Lopez and her husband Rene; three sons, Hector Estevez and his wife, Maria; Jorge Estevez and his wife, Lisetta; Urbano Estevez and his wife Diane; ten grandchildren: Lynette Palmieri, Amy Ponce, Eric Estevez, Sarah Estevez, Emily Bacolo, Hannah Estevez, Jonathan Lopez, Justin Estevez, Richard López, Jason Estevez and his eight great-grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Nicolas, Alyssa, Adam, Lola Sophia. Joshua, Adelina and Cruz. He also leaves his brothers, Elio and Hilmer Estevez and many other dear siblings in Cuba.

There will be a committal service held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Laurel Grove Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ.
