Elizabeth M. Casale, 78 of Nutley, passed away on Thursday August 11, 2022. Born and raised in Newark, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Seagrave) Connolly. Mrs. Casale came to Nutley 51 years ago and was a secretary with Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley before retiring. If anyone personified someone who lived for their family, it was her. Selfless and giving of herself, she described the humble daily routine that she enjoyed so much, as “putzing around the house.” She endeared herself to all who knew her with her kindness and grace.

A devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Casale in 2013. She is survived by her children, Maureen Casale, Michael Casale and his wife, Michelle, her grandchildren, Thomas and his fiancée Alycia, Philip, Matthew, Calasandra and her husband Peter, Lucas and Aurelia, her great grandson Nathan and her beloved dog Hannah. She was also the dear sister of Eileen Bauer and William Connolly.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Tuesday August 16 at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 10:30 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 pm.
