Elizabeth F. “Betty” Keating, 92 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2020. Born in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude Nygard. Betty came to Nutley 63 years ago. She was an active parish member of St. Mary’s Church, where she was a longtime member of the Rosary Altar Society and librarian at St. Mary’s School. She was also a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. A devoted wife and loving mother, Betty greatly enjoyed gatherings with her extended family. Predeceased by her son, Paul Keating, Jr., Betty is survived by her beloved husband, Paul J. Keating, her children, Thomas Keating, Timothy Keating and Eileen Saar. She also leaves her grandchildren, Kathryn Rucki, Alexander, Alyssa, Shannon, Collin and Evan Keating, Valerie and Lauren Saar and her great granddaughter, Quinn Rucki.

A walk-through visitation will be held on Saturday November 28 at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley from 2-5 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 30 at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley at 10:30 am. Friends are kindly asked to please proceed directly to church for the Mass on Monday.

A private committal service will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
