Obituary

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Ellen Elizabeth Mikell. She was called to the Lord on Friday April 17, 2020 after a fierce battle with the Covid-19 virus.

She was born in Newark, NJ and is predeceased by her mother and father Cecilia and William Willis, and brother's William Jr., and Wayne.

Such a loving, giving, and caring woman with a huge smile and an even bigger heart. Simply one of the kindest people there was. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her brother's Walter and Wade. Her son Paul, his wife Tiffany and their children Michael, Lena, Olivia, and Patrick. Her son Reggie and his daughter Illiana. Step children Melissa and Chris and lifelong friends Sue and Karen who were like sisters.

There will be a celebration of her life sometime in the near future but for now we send her off with loving thoughts and prayers. We will forever miss seeing her beautiful smile and hearing her warm and happy laugh.

Thank you so much for everything MOM, We Love You!

Ellen you were a brave soul so hard working , so fun loving and kind hearted and we shared so much and I have so many good Memories of you. This is such a shock a
so unexpected and HEARTBREAKIBNG!!! Recently when my Beloved Mom passed you came running by my moms side coming everyday to bring comfort and love. You are Truly A Hero In heaven now. You worked on the front both as a cashier and in a nursing home risking your Life! Now you are-another Angel and Hero watching over us. I know you are laughing with my mom and your mom and all of your loved ones in heaven.

I just learned of Ellen’s passing and am overwhelmed with sadness. I’m remembering sitting with Ellen on Dottie’s bed, while Ellen and I held hands and talked about Dot. Ellen was a kind, loving person. Rest In Peace, dear Ellen.

Ellen you will be truly missed by all of us!! We love you and are blessed to have had u in our lives. You were always so kind and loving to our grandma and treated her like a mom. You spent her final days holding her hand for hours and being there for all of us when we needed you! I will never forget your infectious laugh and kind spirit. Rest easy sweet Ellen!
