Obituary for Everett P. Tarn

Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather, Proud Marine Corps. Veteran

Everett P. Tarn, 73 of Schnecksville, PA passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at his home. Born in Newark, the son of Everett Philip Tarn, II and Ida B. (Francis) Tarn, he grew up in Menlo Park, and lived in Belleville and Highland Park prior to moving to Pennsylvania one year ago.
He retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. on Newark as a warehouse manager.
A proud Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, he served as an Anti-Tank Assault Man and earned a Purple Heart for wounds received in battle.

The beloved husband of 43 years of the late Linda Ann (Fasso) Tarn, he is survived by his daughter, Laura Schick and her husband, Frank; his cherished granddaughter, Giana Schick; 3 sisters, Shirley Sedlak, Frances Lynn and Kathy Fanelli and her husband, Ray; his brother, Richard Tarn and his wife, Sandy; 3 sisters-in-law, Joanne Hirniak and her husband, George, Kathy Calabrese and her husband, Frank and Nancy Donatiello and her husband, Mark and a brother-in-law, Robert Fasso and his wife, Peggy and many loving nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Along with his parents and his wife, Everett was also predeceased by his sister, Nancy Hobbs.

The funeral will be Saturday, November 9, 2019 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 8:30 a.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.

The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
