Florita A. Lacandula, 79 of Belleville, passed away on Friday January 8, 2021. Born in the Philippines she was the daughter of the late Dr. Gaudencio M. and Carmen (Alcantara) Apolinario. Florita lived in Newark and in Nutley and Bellville for 40 years and was a Pharmacist at UMDNJ in Newark before retiring. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. Florita is survived by her husband, Eddie Lancandula, her 5 children and their spouses Maruja and Antonio Cubero, Ronald and Roslie, Russell and Carol, Rowell and Christine, Ryan and Christy Ramirez and her 8 grandchildren, Rosheena, Ronald Jr., Sabrina, Rowell Jr., Daniel, Meschack, Rianna and Julianna.
Florita was the dear sister of Benedicto Apolinario, Melba Nano, Virginia Carino and Maria Elena Martinez and the late Arturo Apolinario, the late Tomas Apolinario and the late Mercedes Sta. Rita

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday January 13 from 9-10:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley at 11 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
